Zombie Cop (1991)

Summary: Stevens and Gill are still trying to catch a Voodoo priest named Dr. Death. Unfortunately a shootout leaves both Gill and Doc Death as dead, and yet soon resurrected. So they’re back to trying to re-apprehend Death and meanwhile try not to decompose at the same time!           Overall: Friends don’t let friends release incoherent horror films. It’s not just low-budget bad, but it’s incomprehensible bad. Dr. Death although dead, doesn’t turn into a zombie and Gill who is dead and decomposing simply ends up looking like a mummy in police gear. Not much ever gets explained or fleshed out and so you spend the film really wondering what’s going on. And that’s not even addressing the brutal film editing. Take Doctor Death alone with the snitch. He grabs the snitch by the neck and the next shot has Death standing up waving his arms, cut to the snitch with two hands around his neck...etc. Bottom line...make sure your transitions make sense!!!
