Zombie Bloodbath (1993)

Summary: A nuclear power plant in Kansas City is starting to undergo a meltdown. While toxic spills out from the power plant, the workers who weren’t able to get out in time slowly begin turning into flesh-eating zombies. The government attempts to cover up the evidence by destroying the power plant, so as to bury the zombies and use the power plant as their grave. Two years pass, and now the government decides to sell off the land and begin to build residential and make a few quick dollars. Joey was given a video camera for his birthday, decides to film his sister Gwen and best friend Mike down near an old underground shaft that use to lead into the power plant. When the two fall into a deep pit, Joey quickly runs to get help. Nice and safe, the 2 families decide to hold a “movie night” at first not aware that their neighborhood is slowly being overrun by zombies. Once they realize this, they’ll do whatever it takes to fight them, but will it be to no avail?           Overall: Depending on what you are looking for, this might be either a great movie experience or just a dreadful waste of your time. The acting is awful and frankly the outfits everyone ahs on…it looks like no thought was even given to wardrobe. And frankly, maybe that’s all fine. The film’s point is gore, gore and more gore and a little fun thrown in. If that’s what you want, you’ll enjoy it. Frankly…I needed more imagination and frankly attention to details. Several times we see people pick up the handset from the phone only for the camera to illuminate us that there is no phone cord plugged into anything. Not even into the phone! I mean “come on.” At least pretend or something that you guys care enough not to make boneheaded mistakes!! I’ll buy the fact your budget was low, but not your brain input!!! It’s all gore, gore, gore and no practicality.           Comparison: Night of the Living Dead meets Blair Witch Project
