Summary: Will Spanner is back for his 13th film…12th as an adult. Will meets a few ladies, most notable Delores Stevens who seems to like him too. What will doesn’t know just yet as there are evil forces at work that basically want to bring Satan back and need Will’s Warlock-hood, to do it. And if he doesn’t watch out, he’ll accidentally help the darkside!
Overall: Well let me address the good stuff first. The film clearly didn’t forget the previous movies. We get references throughout the movie to previous characters (Will’s Family, Detective, Lutz, etc.) as well as a working knowledge of the basic sense of who will is. I liked that, especially some of the previous films ignored the franchise as a whole. So on to the bad stuff...the lighting was awful, the audio was incomprehensible and the CGI was beyond fake-looking. It’s a badly made film. Yeah, it’s a low-budget movie and I can buy that in some ways they didn’t have the budget to afford things. But I’ve seen way too many films with smaller budgets whose lighting and audio were not problems. If you’re watching this, then hope the only reason you are doing so is to complete your viewing of the series. Otherwise “Nothing to see here, keep moving.” Comparison: Witchcraft 12 meets Highlander |
