Whispers from a Shallow Grave (2006)

poster

Summary: Photo model Linda Sobek vanishes over a Thanksgiving weekend; police trace the disappearance to a photographer named Charles Rathbun, who gives contradictory explanations of her last few hours. On the witness stand and from beyond her shallow grave, Linda tells her side of the story

Overall: I had a hard time buying into the film from the moment I received it and it never got any better. It’s a wanna-be documentary of this lady who died at the hands of a killer. To tell the story it is all narration, trial footage and whatever else...which never runs in chronological order. There’s fast-forwards, fast-backwards, and tons of visuals. It’s just a mess since you’re never sure where you are or if the characters in the scene are even alive!!! We even see a deceased Linda answering questions in her own murder trial. Huh? Ambitious film? Yes. Good film? Um, no way. Bad, bad, bad! Skip it!
