Whispering Corridors/Yeogo goedam (1998)

Mrs. Park has just hung herself after learning that a deceased former student may not be so deceased anymore. Seems that Jin-Ju has come back from the dead and is occupying students and terrorizing the school. But did Mrs. Park really commit suicide or was she killed by the evil spirit? A new teacher will replace her, who also attended the school way back when and knew Jin-Ju. 3 students will be caught up in the supernatural battle and not all are on the same side. Beware, because these corridors have secrets too frightening to tell.
Overall: The movie is ok. Not much of a horror film and not quite scary either but it was “fine.” I thought the ending was very climactic and nothing like I was either envisioning or hoping for. The film can keep your interest but don’t expect too much from this film. It’s an all-girls Korean school and these teachers don’t exactly play by the same rules you might see in America.
