Summary: These are the selections from the 2007 Viscera Film Festival. All are relatively short films ranging from 21 seconds to 20 minutes.
1) Go Ask Alice – Alice in Wonderland is trying a 2nd chance at her tea party and the rabbit is a little to interested in carving her up to eat. 2) I’m a little Teapot – One person signing the childhood song is about to die! 3) When Sally Met Frank – This lady is just dying for cosmetic surgery. 4) Wretched - Jenny and Eric can’t seem to get through a dinner without arguing and the more she argues, the more Jenny eats! 5) It’s My Birthday – The birthday girl can’t wait to celebrate her birthday but it’s first come, first dead. 6) The Cleaner – This lady takes her OCD to a whole new level. Overall: I liked what I saw for the most part. One issues was the DVD copy I had errors preventing me from watching 3 of the short films. Boo. However of the ones I did see, as I said…they were good. Not sure I bought into the 21 second “Teapot” snippet. 21 seconds just isn’t long enough for me to digest everything you want to communicate to me. I read the synopsis and was sorta going “oh yeah?” Shannon Lark did a fine job getting some good films together and of course creating her own work as well! Good Job! |
