What can you say about this plot? Josh is a kid who just lost his granddad Seth. But Seth hasn’t completed disappeared because he is always appearing to Josh to warn him about Goblins. Seems Seth knows all about them and when Josh and the family are set to take a trip to Nilbog, Seth must interfere. See, Nilbog is inhabited by Goblins and they’ll turn you into plants if you don’t watch out. They are sickened by the idea of meat and if Josh doesn’t watch out he’ll be chlorophyll too!
Overall: My buddy Matt of The Worm Hole loves to laugh at this film and you got to admit it is a terrible film. I mean the best way to battle vegetarian goblins is to eat a bologna sandwich with hamburger buns? You have got to be kidding. The film is so bad, it is rated as 67th worst ever by the IMDB. More surprising is that this is the only film on my page outside of “Fever Lake” to be in the top 100 worst films. Trust me – this isn’t the worst on my page, for some films like “The Killer Eye” are worse but they are too obscure to even be voted on. Don’t dare watch this film for anything other than laugh track material – the girl who plays Josh’s sister, Holly, engages in overacting on a monumental scale – in fact, pay attention to when she yells at her boyfriend. She switches the conversation from sarcasm to being serious – you can tell by the sentences she uses, but definitely not from the tone. She gets so high and mighty, you’d think you were watching “My Two Dads.” Ugh! Comparison: Ideology of PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) vs. Dennis Leary |
