Track of the Moon Beast (1976)

Summary: Paul is looking for rocks in this deserted canyon when a few of his friends show up for a visit. He ends up meeting this one lady and they hit it off really well. Problem is, tonight is a meteor shower and Paul has the bad fortune to be injured by one. In fact a fragment of a rock ends up imbedded into his brain. Now as he tries to recover, the local townspeople are being stalked by a hideous lizard beast. Paul starts to have blackouts forgetting where he’s been and soon it’s very possible that this meteor is having very lethal consequences!           Overall: I’m not sure which was worse...the acting in the film or my attempt at trying to re-type the plot above without laughing. A fragment of a meteor piercing a person’s brain and making them turn into a lizard creature and kill at night, as if they had become a werewolf or something. The film, frankly, is silly. In fact, Paul meets the girl one day and the next has moved in with her and is staying at her house. Wow, quick relationship there. Considering that he turns out to be mutating lizard, gotta question how fast this relationship is moving! No reason to watch this movie, even if the MST3K guys have aired this film as an episode.           Comparison: Wolf meets American Werewolf in London
