Summary: Mario is having a problem with his girl, Carla. After she and a mysterious girl have issues involving a dead cat, Mario leaves them both to run off on an assignment to photograph “The Witches Mountain.” On the way, he spies a lovely beach-goer and eventually flirts enough to get her to go with him. Soon weird things start to happen and soon he’ll realize the mountain’s occupants don’t like him visiting them!
Overall: This movie was just “out there.” I’m convinced after watching that has to be a better copy, maybe something with a few more scenes in which this film makes sense. This version filtering through the DVD markets here in the U.S. is in such poor shape and it looks like they’ve cut it up and frankly, it’s just a plain mess to watch or even listen to. The dubbing is bad and the sound is worse. As for the story, the little girl gets like no explanation, the guy just bails on both of them because he’s sick of “Carla’s” antics…yet we have no idea what relationship Mario and Carla have. Then the guy just runs off, hooks up with Delia…he just met her and next thing you know they’re sleeping together on a weekend jaunt. The film continues from there to have lots of weird stuff happen with almost no explanation later. The film is such a mess that frankly, I can’t help but believe there’s 10 minutes of plot somewhere in the world for this film. Maybe I’m wrong and this is how the director intended it…I sure hope he’s not that dense. But hey…bottom line, skip the movie! Comparison: Escape to Witch Mountain meets Hocus Pocus |
