Overall: The film starts awfully slow and for awhile you sorta where they’re going with all this. But once we get everyone to the house, it begins to pick up and frankly, it’s not that bad. The effects are low-budget but still plausible. But what keeps the film afloat is the intelligence of the story. What we have is our bad guy threatening to kill these 7 people but 1 by 1 and gonna make the others in the room pick the victim. We get some fairly smart writing from that point on and it’ll keep ya interested. I thought the ending was sorta too long as it looked like it ended well, and then went on for another 10 minutes. But hey, not every film is perfect. It’s a good one-time watching. Comparison: CBS “Survivor” meets Halloween 8 |
