The Mummy (1959)

Summary: In 1895 a team of British archaeologists discover the tomb of Princess Ananka but accidentally bring the body of her High Priest back to life. Three years later a follower of the same Egyptian religion brings the mummy back to life to seek revenge.           Overall: I’ve read a lot of good reviews on this film given Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing but frankly, I couldn’t get into it. I’m not a fan of any of the old “Mummy” films and am sure it’s a product of how old they are and my age. They just don’t do anything for me and I find more problems with them than any pros. So while the cast may be excellent, the film seriously does nothing diff than the other ones from the 1940’s.           Comparison: The Mummy meets The Mummy’s Hands
