Summary: Kiki is a nightclub performer whose manager decides to help introduce a leopard into her performance. But a jealous rival scares the cat off and he runs into the night, but not before injuring a few people. Now as each night progresses new bodies pile up, all attributed to the cat and the town is gripped by fear. But Kiki and her manager begin to doubt this cat’s ferocity thinking something else is killing the townspeople!
Overall: This is an entertaining film that’s worth a viewing. I sorta found the belief our main characters have that the leopard didn’t kill the people, sorta too unreal at first. Basically by the en2d death they are positive the cat didn’t do it and yet almost no evidence to back them up. They were basically a little too sure of themselves. But it’s got some nice scares and the scenes with out leopard are cool. By the way, it’s the same animal from “Cat People.” I think what makes the film interesting but at times can get old, is the pure focus on our victims. We see long sequences of the soon-to-be-victims walking alone, getting stalked and attacked…you could buy a nice 20 second shot but these last several minutes. With the film barely clocking in at 60 minutes, I’d say half the film is leopard stalking! But still worth a viewing! Comparison: Cat People meets Wendigo |
