Summary: Carol and her son are just trying to get through each day now that the divorce with Tucker is final. But something has happened and people across the world are slowly losing their emotions and no exactly acting like themselves anymore. Soon Carol and her new boyfriend, Ben realize something is very wrong and they need to do something to survive this. As long as they don’t go to sleep, they’ll do ok…

Overall: After hearing about the original film’s cut and then seeing what the theatrical version became I’m sorta upset with the test audiences. Seems the original film was gonna be a slow but atmosphere-y films with lots of subplot and tons of moodiness. Unfortunately our fellow movie reviews tore that cut apart, causing the studio to bring in 3 “experts” to fix the film and turn it into the action-filled film you just saw. It lost the paranoia and moodiness which made the 1978 version so good and by the end of the movie, with the peace on Earth, you sorta see the world the Aliens want, isn’t that bad.

Bottom line for me, is we didn’t need another “Body Snatchers” film. Nothing diff or new here that we didn’t get before. No reason to get this.
