Howling IV: The Original Nightmare (1988)

Marie is a reporter who’s been way too stressed at work and heads off with her husband to a cabin in the woods for rest and relaxation. But once there she begins to hear noises and meets up with a lady who is looking for a missing nun. Soon Marie is convinced that werewolves exist and the missing nun was turned into one. But her husband no only thinks she’s getting more insane by the minute, a town grocer has but the moves on him and has him ready to do anything she says.
Overall: Movie is very similar to part 1 in it’s basic story and finally distinguishes itself towards the end. No real connection to the other films at all although they try to toss in some historical references to the bell-tower in town. Michael T. Weiss, best known for “Pretender” role stars as the hubby and spends much of the movie without a shirt on…and that’s when his shirt is completely open. Movies with women as topless as Weiss is usually end up on “Cinemax.” Comparison: Stay Awake meets Howling |
