Howling III (1987)

- written October 2002

Jerboa is an Australian werewolf who has been cast out of her tribe and into society and once there seems to wreck havoc wherever she goes. Soon she’s cast into a movie, as a werewolf and this eventually causes her to be exposed for what she is. She gives birth to a werewolf kid and soon after the entire countryside is chasing down the werewolves. Now she and her new husband must run or be killed and no one will ever be the same.

Overall: The film was trying to be “tongue in cheek” but still failed to keep the viewer interested in the plot. The effects aren’t that good and the story is much worse. The movie also ends 20 minutes later than it should as it really tries to give u an ending exactly like part 1 and it takes its own sweet time doing so. The movie really is more “Crocodile Dundee” than anything and that’s what it is a failure as movie. You know a film is bad when you recognize several actors as being the very same trackers as in Crocodile 1 & 2. And when u need “Dame Edna” to show up in your movie, you gotta be desperate! And since when don’t the bullets need to be silver and strobe lights take the place of a full moon?
