Summary:
Jim Halsey has become a cop and is now living in Iowa. But he is still haunted by his experiences in the desert years earlier. He is suspended from the force after shooting a suspect that he thinks has a gun. To get away from it all, Jim and his girlfriend go out to visit his old friend Captain Esteridge in Texas. But once they set out on the highway, Jim’s old hauntings affect him again. Despite that, they do pick up a hitcher, but Jim becomes so uneasy that he demands at gunpoint that the hitcher gets out. The hitcher was dangerous as it turns out but now he’s got his sights set on these 2!
Overall: I wasn’t a fan of the first film, although must people were. But this film, looks like everyone else agrees with me that this film isn’t very good. In fact it’s the same basic film as part 1, with a new bad guy who does the same things that the John Ryder did in the first film. There’s pretty much no originality here at all. And it’s still as unbelievable as the first film. Just nothing good here. Skip it. Comparison: The Hitcher meets The Frighteners |
