Summary: Sarah’s husband and child have recently died in a car accident, in which she was the only survivor. One year has passed and her friends are trying to cheer her up. So they leave the U.K. to go to the boonies in the U.S. to go cave-exploring. 6 ladies with a real sense of adventure decide to drop deep into an uncharted cave and just see what they can find. What they soon realize once they’re down there…they’re not alone. And worse, yet not everyone will make it out alive!
Overall: Few films can get my attention nowadays and truly just shock or excite me...but this was one of them. Tremendous film with awesome pacing, blistering acceleration of tension and overall thrill-ride. It’s a damn good film and totally worth multiple watchings!!! The ending to the “un-rated” dvd is clearly the best ending…yeah maybe it’s not “Disney” uplifting you, but it’s different and unique. I thought the film addressing the ideas of euthanasia was definitely a nice spin on things and frankly, the twist involving Juno and Sarah was good too. Go get this film, go watch it, go enjoy it. And hey, the camera shots of the countryside are pretty amazing also. Comparison: The Cave meets Journey to the Center of the Earth |
