Summary: Alice is a disgraced American doctor just looking to earn a living somehow. She goes to Jamaica to take care of a dying man. What she finds is a whole island full of voodoo and superstition and soon even she’s drawn into it. And once she starts to get possessed, there is no turning back!
Overall: For starters, this was supposed to be the third Tales from the Crypt movie. The box office failure of Bordello of Blood caused this film to shelved from 2001 until 2006. The film has some flaws early on, in its basic plot. One moment our doc is hovering over a dying patient and next she’s off to Jamaica. And nothing in between except a brief narrative to explain what might have happened...but we should have seen it. The film is “ok”, nothing special, neither good or bad. Of the 3 “Crypt” films of recent memory, stick with “Demon Knight.” But if you need a reason to watch the movie, its for the tight damp shirt of Jennifer Grey and everything you see underneath it.
