Summer People (2009)

Summary: Four young adults use are enjoying a mini vacation and a Ouija board too. They conjure up some spirits in the one place you shouldn’t. And the secret they don’t know, is that the town knows how spiritually strong the area can be so the chance anyone leaves alive, are gonna be slim.           Overall: It was an interesting film as it progressed, a bit slow at times but still fascinating enough to keep me wondering where its going. The effects were very nice and the ending was pretty mesmerizing as well. I enjoyed it. I thought the acting was fairly good for an indie film and the characters all had their own particular issues that kept them from being glossed over. Good stuff here.           Comparison: Evil Dead meets Witchboard
