Succubus: Hell Bent (2007)

Summary: Adam and his friend Jason are out for some fun in Cancun on Spring Break. While looking for debauchery, they find Lillith and by the time the weekend is done, Adam has sufficiently enjoyed his time and goes back to his girlfriend and day job. However his fling has followed him back and she’s not satisfied with a one-night stand and she’ll do everything she can to ruin his life!           Overall: While I liked the plot, I felt the film didn’t work for a lot of reasons. One major one was the cast. I just never bought into our lead actor being that…the lead. He always seemed the bit part as he lacked substance and there was nothing redeeming about his character. The plot is about this demon pursuing the womanizer…but never telling us truly “why.” You never buy into supporting him and hoping he survives this so the film never gets on the right foot. The 10 minute cameos by Lorenzo Llamas, David Keith and Gary Busey were solely there to promote those 3 actors. But their characters were God awful too and frankly seemed written in to fit the script…but not something the plot truly needed. And what was with the creepy paramedic driver? Again, didn’t fit the plot at all! Good part of the film: Lillith. Greta performance and very scary!           Comparison: The Real Cancun meets Once Bitten
