Stuck! (2009)

Summary: Daisy has been wrongly accused and convicted of killing her mother. Now she’s been sentenced to death and awaits her final day. While inside she meets several women all incarcerated for various reasons. She must deal with her situation while also getting to know her fellow inmates, who may not be all excited about her presence there.           Overall: Another fantastic and strong film by Steve Balderson. A throwback to the old “Women In Prison” films which Steve reproduces with his usual brilliance. We see all the great standbys for this sorta film: catfights, forbidden love, sadistic wardens and corrupt prison guards. But most of all we have a great cast with excellent performances. We get Karen Black, Stacy Cunningham and Pleasant Gehman in great supporting roles as well as Starina Johnson in the lead, as “Daisy.” A must see film for great art and artistry. Enjoy the performances, the dialogue and most of all the film-making.           Comparison: Emmanuelle in Prison meets The Big Dollhouse
