The Strange Vice of Mrs. Wardh (1971)

Summary: Now married to international ambassador Neil, Julie is mortified one day to read in the newspaper about a black-gloved killer who has been carving up local ladies with his straight razor. With Neil often away, attending to his diplomatic duties, Julie finds herself spending time with her old boyfriend, Jean as well as her new flame, George. After she spends a night with George, Julie is contacted by a blackmailer out to expose the affair. But soon Julie realizes that maybe this serial killer is out to get her as people around her start to die too. Her strange vice is gonna come back to kill her.           Overall: 2 reasons to watch this movie: 1) the endless amounts of unnecessary nudity; 2) the use of the word “vice” in the title. The film is confusing, has way too many slow-motion shots and is more concerned with the backgrounds of the scenes than the plot itself. But at least at the end, it tries to make some sense of the previous 90 minutes. It never explains what we saw, just tries to end it all, adding even more characters that you hadn’t seen before. Silly film. Skippable.           Comparison: Shattered meets Ronin
