Splinter (2009)

Summary: While on a camping trip, Seth and Polly run into some trouble. Looking for a motel for the night, they end up captured by Lacey and her boyfriend Dennis. These fugitives need a vehicle, and Seth and Polly become unwilling victims. However their getaway won’t be that easy because something non-human is alive in the woods and their visit to a local rest-stop may be the last place they ever stay!           Overall: It’s a very simple concept and the effects just make it work oh so well. I think the effects were the best part and really made everything just so nice and creepy. Extremely suspenseful and very realistic, in terms of how the characters deal with ach other, and I was a big fan of this!!! Definitely a must-see film.           Comparison: Creepshow meets Devil’s Rejects
