Sil is back again and this time she's trying to be good. Seems some of our boys in space have met up with the same alien creature from part 1. Now that that alien is back on earth, our best pilot needs to find a woman to give birth to his seed and Sil is being drawn to him for that very purpose. She's trying her hardest to resist but even all the walls in the world can't stop two aliens in love. So the same group assigned to find Sil before will try to stop her again.
Overall: Easily not as good as part 1 but by itself is slightly ok. It banks on the successes of part 1 and really doesn't add too much new. Actually I did feel that Astronaut's Wife" did better in overall approach. In the new Species Box set, we have some “unrated explicit footage” in the deleted scenes. Much of this is just stuff cut from included scenes mostly involving extra blood and gore...including some very explicit stuff involving the debutante sisters and one giving birth to an alien baby…or trying to. Wouldn’t have contributed to the plot much but would have been it gorier. Comparison: Romeo and Juliet meets Alien |
