Summary: A bunch of tourists end up stranded on Snake Island, an otherwise uninhabited island except for the abundance of snakes. And these myriad of visitors will need to do anything they can to make it off the island alive.
Overall: The most important thing to note here is that these snakes…are normal. They’re not genetically alerted, they’re not mutant or exceptionally big. It’s just simply there’s a lot of them!!! And as the film kept going I expected some big twist or interesting thing to happen, and it never did It’s just there’s a whole mess of snakes and they’re just not fans of humans. I will say it makes the film a little bit more real though, especially as the film continues on. I’m not sure how realistic it is that by the end of the film the snakes are basically following and stalking the remaining survivors but the fact it’s ordinary-sized snakes makes it less cheesy than the film could have been. I will say though the POV shots got very annoying with all the teasing we got. The first half of the film is 1 constant tease of people’s hands and feet oh so close to snakes but nothing occurring. A few shots are nice and mood-altering but every other shot gets soooo annoying. But still, no reason to watch this. Comparison: Anaconda meets Vipers |
