Trish expects an empty home without her parents and a full home later on for a slumber party. What else would a young high school girl do when her parents are gone? Well after a difficult day on the basketball courts, these girls need some relaxation. But they didn’t invite their neighbor Valerie or her younger sister Courtney, and that hasn’t made those 2 "happy campers." But with their envious eye, they are watching the fun take place as the girls decide to exchange clothing, while a few young studs engage in peeping-tomism. But escaped serial killer Russ Thorn is nearby and he has pinned his hopes of having fun with these girls. One by one the girls and guys start to vanish and die off, and soon Valerie despite her unhappiness at not being invited to strip her clothes off, must save the girls. But Russ had 5 confirmed kills before tonight, is he too good to get stopped?
Overall: Lots of say about this film. Best story in the trilogy, by far. More nudity by far. Also you find unique camera work as the girls play basketball, without sports bras (but then again it was 1981!) and also as they shower too (how is a girl supposed to be a better actor when the camera is aimed right at her ass?). You can answer this by figuring out who the writer of the film is: Rita Mae Brown. A household name? Well maybe if you enjoy mysteries by lesbian feminists. Yep that’s who wrote the film - in fact all 3 films were written by women and this one was also directed by one. Now I know why those camera shots were as they were (hello, Rosie!). Also interesting, is the need to ADD sugar into kool aid. I think I was 9 when that was a necessity - have we gone far in 20 years! You know you’re old when the girls are describing how cute "Brian Sipe’s ass" is -- he was the quarterback for the original Cleveland Browns! Neat that the killer came into the party with 5 deaths and leaves with a total of 16. Also don’t forget that Sinning Room legend Brinke Stevens ("Hybrid" and "Jack-O") makes a small appearance - first one dead, in the phone company truck (video below). All in all, the film actually has no good excuse for the nudity and compared to the "Sorority House Massacre" Series, actually failing in that respect while at least this film had the better story - may be a tinge believable too.
