Summary: After witnessing a brutal slaying, a young college transfer student slowly discovers the unpleasant reality behind the vampire myth. As a clean up crew member for the slayer's work he becomes disillusioned with the romanticized aspects of violence, and learns that life is lived in a gray area far from black and white.
Overall: This is a whole new take on the vampire and vampire slayer genre. We have a more down-to-earth, non-glitzy vampire world here. It feels a bit long but it’s a much more serious, guttural take on vampires. It’s something everyone should watch once, so as to provide an alternative to the “Underworld” flicks out there with their glamour vampires. Comparison: Underworld meets Dead Body Man |
