Summary: Kristel and her friends are going to visit a Mine that her dead had been doing research at. He was recently killed in a car accident, and his daughter decides to at least go get his stuff and bring it home. What he was up to, was researching the past involving Dutch criminals who chose the option of trying to save lives by entering dangerous gas mines (as opposed to being executed). The trick was...no on ever survived the mine explosions. That is until the mysterious child killer Andres Martiens. And now the young adults are in the mines and Martiens is still trying to find a way out!
Overall: If this was an American film, I’d probably accuse it of being unoriginal, copycatting a bunch of films (including “Long Time Dead”) and frankly, just having little new to it. But...it’s a Dutch movie so I gotta cut them a little slack considering they are new to the horror genre and frankly, this film is designed for their viewers. And you know that by them taking shots at Belgian people...which most Americans would have no clue there’s any strife between those neighbors. Anyway, for the fact it’s Dutch, I’ll back off on a lot of this. It copycats a lot of prior films with the Ouija Boards, possessions, etc. But there’s plenty of gore for ya and the acting isn’t half bad! Go watch this. Comparison: Long Time Dead meets Evil Dead |
