Summary: Roy is a cop who does things his way…even when he and his boss do not see eye to eye. So after some weird deaths start popping up and his high school sweetheart is having a bad time, he runs to find out what’s up. Turns out these mutant mosquitoes are killing everyone and only Deputy Roy can save them!
Overall: This really might have been the slowest and most boring mutated creature movies, ever. It just took forever to get us some deaths, some creatures, anything resembling “action.” It just b-o-r-e-d the hell out of me. And finally when we got to the end, I could only think of how few mosquitoes you actually see. Not the CGI ones in the background that only act as filler, but the ones that actually attack someone. Eek. More people die off the screen than on. It’s a mutated creature movie...gotta show some deaths! The mosquitoes weren’t remotely believable and frankly, when all was said and done, you just sorta felt bad for all the actors. Like “I feel bad that u had to appear in this to feed your family.” What really was the worst scene for me was a shootout at the end. Roy on his porch talking to Drake. Drake’s guys show up and decide to take shots at the porch...where drake is standing. Note, these are his guys, shooting precariously close to him. Cut to a scene of Roy jumping out of range, and the shootout continued...and yet we never ever saw Drake again...he just disappeared! Comparison: Jaws meets Orca |
