Summary: Jigsaw is dead, on the autopsy table and is being sliced into when...the coroner finds a tape he made. The game is a foot and there are more deaths to come. 2 new agents come onto the scene to aid in the investigation as they try and muddle through the clues left behind by Agent Kerry. But although Amanda and Jigsaw are dead, we still have new victims, new games and a whole new meaning to Jigsaw’s motto. And what exactly does his ex-wife actually know?
Overall: The number one emotion I saw from fans either in the theater or online after wards was disappointment,. No one seemed to like how this film went. And the biggest and most obvious reason was...we got little explanation. Who exactly is continuing Jigsaw’s work, and why? Well we know whom if you watched the movie but the why is definitely not explained, hinted to or anything. It’s flat out missing. And I think that was the point, at least from the filmmaker’s perspective. Helps get us into the theaters for parts 5 & 6. But I don’t completely agree with this. You could have tossed us a bone or something...given us a little something here. I think the complete failure to even hint at the connection was the most frustrating. We needed a teeny bit of something and we got nothing. As for the rest of the film, we get lots of info on the first 3 films, more of Jigsaw’s history and how he become the man he died as. We got more info on his ex-wife, hinted to in part 3, teeny bit more on the envelope given to Amanda in part 3. We got answers for some of the other 3 films’ mysteries. But again, nothing explained really why this film went down the way it did. I will give u a teeny spoiler though. This also was a huge problem for many...took me some time afterwards too. *whispers* “It’s not in chronological order.” Comparison: Saw III meets The Funhouse |
