- Ryli Morgan has appeared in several movies, including "Mister Dissolute". Anyone looking for more info on Ryli or her films, can visit her at her website, her IMDB page.
Q: Ryli, can you explain how you first got into the movie business?
A: Well, it started as kind of a fluke, really, because after trying his hand at screenwriting for a while, I talked Mark (www.CreateToLive.com) into making at least one short film, because I thought perhaps people might be more apt to watch a short than to read an entire script. So, he wrote the script for DESPAIR, we filmed over the weekend, and the short was eventually picked up by Seduction Cinema for bonus material on their DVD release of the ROXANNA remake. Needless to say, we caught the film-making bug, and the rest is history.
Q: Would you please explain your acting role in "Mister Dissolute"?
A:
Mia is a free spirit, definitely, with little concern for anyone but herself. She has a history of stealing her sister's boyfriends, and is currently having an affair with her brother-in-law (the lead character, played by my husband, Mark Baranowski).
Q: Knowing how movie reviews may skew the perception of one's product, give us in your own words what you want people to know about the film.
A: I think the film's main statement, as negative as it may be, is that sometimes, crime DOES pay. Mark's character is an anti-hero, who may be naturally corrupt, or just taking advantage of his position as a cop. In either case, it makes for great viewing from an exploitation standpoint. I think it's very straightforward and realistic, both story-wise and from a technical aspect.
Q: If there were one part of the filming that was more difficult than you expected, what would that be? Getting a costume to work? Appearing in a certain scene? Certain lines?
A: I can't say any of it was more difficult than any other scene. I did have a tiny bit of anxiety before my scene with Ashlie Rhey. I mean, come on, she's pretty legendary, but she's very down to earth, and we got along well, so that eased my tension. As for costumes, to be honest, I only had one scene where clothing was involved.
Q: Was there any one day, one moment where you just knew the film would work they way you thought it could?
A: I think I knew it would work, really, early one, as soon as Mark had the roles cast. My feelings were reinforced when I saw some of the dailies, especially scenes with Janet Keijser, Anna Engles, and Demon Reed. The emotion they put into their performances was truly inspiring!
Q: Tell me a bit about your modeling and gracing the movie magazines? Where might we have seen you?
A:
I have been featured in DRACULINA twice (on the cover once), Sirens of Cinema, Movie Mystique, and I was a Gallery Girl Next Door, early in my modeling career.
Q: What's next for you? Can you tell me what you have going on in 2009 and into 2010?
A: I can say I have a few irons in the fire, but nothing is set in stone.
Q: Is there any movie director or producer you’ve never worked for that you really want to work for one day?
A: I would dearly love to work with Dario Argento or John Carpenter... but those are really “given”, right?
Q: Finally...this is an "Obscure Horror Movie" website. Can you name the last horror movie you watched either at the theatres or on DVD, etc? How about name a favorite horror film that you have seen that most people probably haven't seen?
A: Haven't been to the theater in a while (unless DISTRICT 9 counts as horror), but on DVD, we recently watched CREATURE FROM BLACK LAKE. Hated it. As for an obscure favorite, it's hard to say what's obscure anymore... Seems that everyone has heard of films I've never heard of.

Q: Thank you very much for doing this.
