Rise of the Scarecrows (2009)

Summary: 3 visitors to the town of Adams get stuck when their car breaks down. What they don’t realize is that the nearby woods are haunted by the mysterious scarecrows and all town newbie’s don’t make it very long. Question is, who’s in charge of the town. The Sheriff or the Scarecrows?           Overall: It’s a nice little low budget film. I’ll admit, it starts off slow and a little disjointed as you watch it. You’re wondering how it’s all gonna connect, who the film is about. However once it gets going, you’ll see the connections. It’s a complex story that really starts to make sense as it proceeds. The acting is “ok” and the action sequences could have been more realistic. But the key here is slow building plot and the atmosphere which follows, building to a good, interesting conclusion.           Comparison: Scarecrow meets Evil Messiah
