Return of the Living Dead 3 (1993)

Colonel John Reynolds is trying to quit his government job and take his son, Curt with him but the project he is on is soooo top secret, that just isn't possible. It gets worse when Curt and his girlfriend accidentally catch a glimpse of the Trioxin Zombie project, which is trying to find ways to re-animate the dead. An argument between Curt and his dad makes things worse and soon Curt is running away and an accident on the highway leaves Julie dead and Trioxin the drug of choice for revival. But the revival causes complete chaos at the military base and they run for their lives. But matters only get worse when they come into contact with a Hispanic gang which wishes them to die...again. Julie is suffering like she's never suffered before and her only hope may be to allow her body to collapse but Curt won't allow that to happen, no matter what it takes.

Overall: I gotta say this film exceeds both previous films big time and is one of the best zombie films out there. Unlike the crap Romero made, we have a nice human interest story with love, romance, passion, and family togetherness. The story speaks for itself and the action is very good. When Julie comes out all pierced, I feel a "Rocky" moment and wanted to shed a tear. In all seriousness, the film is very entertaining and it isn't the normal "get chased by zombies because they can't die" crap. The film works. Most enjoyable.
