Fred and Frank and grave-robbers at their best. They steal corpses so that they can sell the skeletons and such to companies, for cash. But Frank decides to tell Freddie the story of years back when corpses, zombies, ran loose and the military was called in to stop it. Well some of the zombies were misplaced and ended up at Frank's place. While showing one off, some zombie gas escapes and starts to awaken all of the corpses in Frank's place. In order to try to kill the un-dead, the 2 guys get their Boss burt to help, and then go off to the local Moratorium to try and burn the living dead. But burning one of the zombies just releases the toxic yet virile gasses into the air and it awakes the nearby cemetary, where 7 young teens are partying and having fun. Soon all of them must run for their lives and try to escape. Their only salvation may be the Army but be careful for what you wish for, you might just get it.
Overall: Clearly superior to the Romero films as this one actually is interesting. The living body parts (reminiscent of tall of the "monkey's paw" stories) and even Linnea Quigley and her dancing keep you interested. Not as cheesy as most horror films because most of the film isn't the inevitable running and hiding but instead is how to catch and kill. There is a story here, unlike the future sequels.
