Relentless 4: Ashes to Ashes (1994)

- written January 2004

One final romp for Sam Dietz is in order. Years after part 3, we have Sam with his kid, Cory. The wife has since passed away and Sam is dealing with his teenager like all parents do, by seeming to alienate them. Cory's psychiatrist just recently lost a patient and Sam is asked to check it out. Once he starts to pay attention, Dietz realizes that this could be a serial killer in L.A. who is purposely killing all of Dr. Jaffe's patients and that he's got a crush on her too. But before he can tend to his manliness, Dietz must find the killer and stop the insanity, before it gets to the good Doctor. But the Doctor is hiding something and without the info Dietz may never solve the crime.

Overall: Of the four films, only this one and part 1 have nudity - interesting since most films with serial killers have someone nude women dying. Also, Famke Janssen is showing he's got the looks but no career. She shows once again her movie picks aren't the most brilliant.

Comparison: Dream Team meets Color of Night
