Summary: Lisa is on the way home, taking the “red eye” plane to Miami. However one of her fellow passengers has a personal issue with Lisa and he’ll do anything to get the job done…which is to kill someone at the hotel she works at. She’s just important enough for a killer to need her assistance but not before he takes some pleasure at ruining everything in her life too!

Overall: Well this isn’t a true horror film but more of a psychological thriller. But the way the trailer runs, you’d maybe have gotten confused with what the genre was.

I guess I have a few things to say about the movie. Most reviews I’ve seen are really positive about this movie…but as I remember it wasn’t such a big hit in theatres. I think the industry has sorta overused “airline thrillers” especially in light of 9-11. Terrorists on a plane, regardless of their race and ethnicity sorta "hit home" a little too much. Sure I can accept watching “True Lies” a few times given the over-the-top cheesiness of it. But I think I’m sorta “airplaned-out” with terrorists potentially crashing planes, etc. It goes back to my comments re: “Uncle Sam.” Sooner or later, the public would rather just avoid some topics because they don’t wanna mix their entertainment with reality. Why watch a movie about U.S. soldiers killing other people when more than half this nation wants those same soldiers out of Iraq??? They enjoy films for taking them away from their own personal sadness…not reminding them of it.

So I’m glad that people tend to like this film, the whole thriller stuff going on it. I thought it was “ok” and nothing more than that. I think the film failed to adequately utilize Brian Cox, as Lisa’s Dad…since we all know him to be quite competent. In addition, the film really failed to follow-up with our bad guys who attack the hotel. Sure the film is supposed to be about “Jackson Ripper,” but I think we needed a few more minutes of exposition on the plot instead of more explosions and shootings.

So this film I saw to you to watch on your own, make your own call.
