McClain has broken into the building of Peter and has held Peter hostage. McClain wants to know the secrets of the puppets that Andre Toulon created and took care of. Peter (the kid from part 3) is not about to do so, so he passes the time awaiting help by telling his captor all about Toulon’s history in hopes she will learn something and he can turn the tables on her.
Overall: I was just shocked that this came out and after watching it, am even more shocked it came out. The film is a mere 70 minutes and about 60 minutes of it are flashbacks to the first 7 films. Although very piecemeal from part 1, the other films definitely give a lot in the flashbacks. It was nice to see that someone finally tried to take everything and make chronological sense of everything but the fact remains, they still violated the story from part 1. The ending though is very disturbing – granted I hope this would be done in other series but I think the movie was basically made just so they could have this ending. If one movie has gone out of its way to make sure there are no more sequels, this might be it. Although I do know there really is a push for a series with the “Demonic Toys.” Don’t rent this film unless you took 14 hours out of your life to watch the prior 7 films.
