Pumpkinhead 2: Blood Wings (1994)

The film starts in 1958 (1 year after the scene from part 1) when a deformed kid is playing out in the woods. 6 high-school letterman decide to harass the kid, Tommy, and end up battering him before they nicely hang him from a nearby scaffold (how did that get there anyway?). We switch to present day events when a new student enters the local high school. Her father is the local sheriff, although concerned for his daughter yet willing to let his kid be a kid, he allows her to travel with some local students who end up hitting an old witch (the guardian of Tommy) with their car. They end up going to her house to check on her condition later on and she sends Pumpkinhead after them and the 6 who killed her loved one years ago.

Overall: The film should be ashamed to call itself a sequel of anything. Despite the fact the monster looks the same, the origin of the monster is completely different. In fact, the movie goes out of its way to be different and this really is an insult to horror sequels. Not since Halloween 3 have viewers been ripped off so badly. (If you'll remember Halloween 3 didn't even have Michael Myers nor hinted to it.) An all-star tv series cast for a film hardly connected to the first one. Have you seen this many former TV stars in one film before? How about appearances by: Former President Bill Clinton's brother Roger Clinton, Soleil Moon Frye (from the TV Series "Punky Brewster"), Alexander Polinsky (played Adam on TV series "Charles in Charge") and Linnea Quigley ("Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers"). Forget this film. Please.

Comparison: Elephant Man meets Friday the 13th
