Pop Punk Zombies (2009)

Summary: A high powered music agent brings three recently deceased rockers back from the grave to form the first zombie punk band. Eddy, the leading character, is dragged to the concert by his buddy, but only stays to see his ex-girlfriend, Lisa. The show is cut short when the zombies break free and the gruesome flesh-eating ensues. Soon Eddy must save his friends from certain doom and becoming...Pop Punk Zombies.           Overall: You had to know from the title that this film was gonna be interesting. Obviously it’s already asking you to imagine a world where Zombies exist, are containable and people can appreciate their musical abilities. A little bit of imagination stretching there.           However I liked what they did with the zombies. I enjoyed where they went with their ideas. The beginning is a bit slow as we work up to our zombie music session but once they get loose, the film is lots of fun. I really enjoyed the blood, gore and action. I thought we had a some similarities to “Quarantine” here but...it’s fun and entertaining and definitely worth your time.           Comparison: Quarantine meets My Boyfriend’s Back
