The Pit and the Pendulum (1961)

Summary: Francis Barnard goes to Spain, when he hears that his sister Elizabeth has died. Her husband Nicholas Medina, the son of the torturer of the Spanish Inquisition, tells him that she has died of a blood disease. After some investigating, Francis finds out that it was extreme fear that was fatal to his sister and that she may have been buried alive! Strange things then start to happen in the Medina castle.           Overall: The film has very little to do with the Poe story and just goes its own way. Decent film with Vincent Price in the lead role of Medina. Good film, stays busy, keeps ya interested and Price makes you forget his bad roles. So enjoy if you come across.           Comparison: Bloody Pit of Horror meets House of Usher
