Reggie and Michael are back this time to finish off the Tall Man. As we ended part 3, Reggie was attacked by hundreds of balls while Michael escaped into the desert trying to ignore the ball inside his head and the inevitable change he will undergo. Tall Man wants a good battle to finish with so he lets Reggie go, whom after some prodding by Jody, decides to find Michael. Michael reaches Death Valley to find his destiny and the Tall Man’s secret. What will be the ultimate outcome?
Overall: Did we really need this sequel? Easy to say skip this film as it adds nothing new nor even interesting. Movie spends half its time in flashbacks to the prior 3 films and still won’t give us new info. The ending is probably worse than the other 3 in what it leaves open or how unsettling it is. Actually it seems based on the “Trancers” mode of endings – “Don’t bother since the next film is already in the works." Somehow I doubt this one is! The dwarfs are back which is nice and Reggie has yet another girl, Jennifer. Bottom Line: Skip this and pray part 5 finishes the series off for good. Comparison: Trancers 4 meets Hellraiser 3 |
