Summary: In the town of Stone Cove, thirteen children have been missing for more than ten years. One of them is Kyle, the son of Sheriff Hopper who is obsessed to find out what happened to the boy. When pharmacist Ronald Perkins ends up arrested, Dwayne suspects that Ronald may have abducted Hopper's son. He asks one of his fellow troopers to go to Perkins' house to investigate. But ehwta they find is murderous evil!
Overall: Well I can say I was really fascinated by the film’s plot. I was so interested in how it would play out. I will say after watching the film, I find it sorta unrealistic in the way it ended up going, despite the obviously unrealistic plot. We see that our sheriff has this issue with how his kidnapped son hasn’t been found and he’s not letting the situation go, even after 10 years. Most resent him for not getting past the disappearance but on this day we see how his pent up emotions work to his advantage…sort of. That very obsessive emotion ends up being the springboard for the events that occur. I felt the sheriff, regardless of how upset he was would have acted differently. And maybe I’m wrong and maybe the film was right. But the events take place here because of what I felt are the sheriff’s unrealistic actions. Regardless, I sorta liked the unexpected ending, which I won’t spoil. But I did find it refreshing as we see the song, obviously brain-washed, dealing with his own father and sister. Some really good ideas here for the most part. Comparison: People under the Stairs meets Day of the Dead |
