Night of the Living Dead 3D (2006)

Summary: Barb and her brother Johnny arrive late for the burial of their aunt -- and walk straight into a zombie minefield. With them chasing her, she flees the cemetery and is rescued by Ben, a local college student. The two seek refuge in a nearby farmhouse of hippies and now they realize that the dead have really risen up!           Overall: I really had no expectations going into this film but frankly, as you all know, I was never a big fan of the sequels or remakes to the original film. And yet, with that in mind…this film is worse than any of those. The acting is just “ok” but really what they did to the story and basic premise was my problem. They re-wrote all, giving us new dialogue, updating to 2006/2007 and frankly, changing the characters around. Ben is no longer our manly hero and Barb is someone out of “Thelma and Louise.” I just couldn’t get my mind off the mess they made with the plot and characters. I really think you need to skip this, no matter how much you might like Sid Haig.           Comparison: Napoleon Dynamite meets Day of the Dead
