Summary: Lupe and Jennifer and lesbian lovers and art teachers who want to become immortal. They discover a way to steal a diary from Countess Erzsébet Báthory and use her secrets in a fateful ceremony. It works and they get their first victim but the victim’s boyfriend isn’t impressed and he’s out for revenge!
Overall: I will say, never have I watched a movie where art teachers are the antagonists. And this isn’t art experts ala “True Lies,” they legitimately enjoy art. But they also enjoy being lesbian and immortal. However I found the 2 ladies to be angry the entire film...which is not conducive to an enjoyable film. Not come across as a sexist male, I think regardless of if your “lesbians” are good or not so good looking, they should at least have a good relationship to keep the audience excited about the story...and the impending bath! Most reviewers find this film really bad, “worst form of suck I’ve seen” (as one reviewer wrote), or just a bad acted film all around. Frankly, I’ve seen a lot worse...but the film has its issues. For one, why is everyone so homophobic?? Come on...guys love to think of 2 ladies...so how can these guys be this anti-lesbian and stay realistic? And secondly, what were Matt and his chat buddy really doing online together before the guy ended up dying? For a film this homophobic, these characters did some fairly unexplained things...which created large gaping holes in the story. By the time the film ends, some conclusions and explanations had no backup or support and frankly, the story was the real weak link here. It went soo long, had too many climaxes and frankly, didn’t explain enough as it was. Skip it! Comparison: Vampyres meets Ancient Evil |
