Necroville (2008)

Summary: Alex and Jack are 2 down on their luck friends who can’t keep jobs. And frankly in a city filled with Zombies, Werewolves and Vampires, shouldn’t their be a lot of openings? Well they see an add for a company called Zom-B-Gone and they immediately apply, and get hired. Bu the job isn’t as easy as they thought. In fact when Jack’s girlfriend’s ex comes to town, they realize he might have more planned than seducing the girl. He’s got world vampire domination on his mind!           Overall: If you’ve visited my site enough, you’ll notice a pattern of me and my opinions towards certain types of films. I tend to not be a big fan of spoofy/comedic horror films. The moment the DVD arrived in my mail, I was already dreading watching it. I will say that with all of the low-budget effects, weak dialogue and weaker acting, they’re were some positive aspects to the film. I think the girlfriend character was actually a plus here. It gave us something to work with in not treating our 2 heroes as perfect as well as watching the humorous interactions between Jack and the girlfriend amidst Jack being attacked various creatures. It’s an ok film that frankly you need to me in the mood to watch.           Comparison: John Carpenter’s Vampires meets Buddy the Vampire Slayer
