Q: Monique, can you explain how you first got into the movie business?

A: Well, My name is Monique Dupree, also known to my fans as "The Original Gata" I'm an actress/alternative model, dancer, singer & mother. I first got into the movie business when I did a film called "Lean on me" I knew then, that I wanted to pursue acting specifically.

Q: Would you please explain your acting role in "Skeleton Key 2: 667 Neighbor of the Beast"?

A: LOL, my role was craziness. No, I played an airhead of sorts named Posh. I ran around in lingerie throughout that entire flick. I was also very pregnant so my boobs were HUGE!!! You guys need to go and see that...seriously. And NO, it's not the sequel to the Kate Hudson flick

Q: Knowing how movie reviews may skew the perception of one's product, give us in your own words what you want people to know about the film.

A: I want for people not to take the film too seriously. It was meant to be very fun and lighthearted. No one was looking to win any award for doing that film. We did it out of love for our craft. And nothing was scripted. The entire film was done with the actors coming up with their own dialogue.

Q: If there were one part of the filming that was more difficult than you expected, what would that be? Getting a costume to work? Appearing in a certain scene? Certain lines?

A: A certain ass in my face that I was to shave in the film. THAT was crazy. I'm not saying anymore. If you want to know what I'm talking about, see the movie, lol

Q: I’ve heard there’s a 3rd film…will you be appearing in that film as well?

A: Yes, I have a cameo in that film as well.

Q: I see that you’ve also appeared in other films. Can you tell me a little about each one and your experience with it? First, "Caged Lesbos A-Go-Go."

A: Caged Lesbos a go-go is a really cool film that I did where I played a character named Demi. Its a women in prison type thriller. It was written and produced by Creep Creepersin. You can check out the myspace page for it at: www.myspace.com/cagedlesbosagogo

Q: How about “Cottonmouth”?

A: Cottonmouth is the story of four angry ladies who rise from the grave to take their revenge on a company man who wronged them. That was an amazing short to work on. That was one of the times I got to work first-hand with Debbie Rochon and she is AMAZING!!!! you can actually see Cottonmouth at www.cottonmouth.tv Let me know what you think guys!

Q: How about “Super Tromette Action Movie Go!”?

A: LOL..I was a "flasher" I thought that was so awesome. Anything troma-related is always lots of fun and you never have to ask me twice to be in any film related to troma. Troma simply RULES.

Q: And finally, "Bikini Bloodbath Christmas"? And did you see the first 2 films?

A: I saw the first film and enjoyed it very much! I was honored that they had a part for me in the third installment. Like many other sets, they were VERY professional and they made things alot of fun. I hope to work with them again.

Q: What's next for you? Can you tell me what you have going on in 2009?

A: I've been expanding myself to do pursue my modeling abit more. So I've been doing alot of modeling. I'm hoping to do modeling for companies like sourpuss, hot topic and eventually lip service. I've done quite afew films this year including a disney film called "Step Up 3D" I have about 12 more projects for this year including "Post Mortem America 2021". Check out the website at www.myspace.com/postmortemamerica2021

Q: Is there any movie director or producer you really want to work for one day? Or perhaps any actors or actresses you’d like to star with in a film?

A: I really NEED to work with Quentin Tarantino. I believe that I will too. I just need for him to know I exist first, lol

Q: Are there certain types of films you enjoy doing? What do you look for when picking projects?

A: I thoroughly enjoy doing horror films. I'm also a fan of film noir type films as well as comedy. I mean, I LOVE acting period and the more disgusting my character, the better. Esp as it applies to horror.

Q: You’ve appeared in a few films, but have also done some modeling and tv, correct? Can you tell us where we may have seen you in those various projects?

A: Well, I spoke of the modeling earlier, but I've been published in magazines such as: Sirens of Cinema, Spanish GQ, Primera Linea, the Autograph collectors magazine, fangoria, Sci fi world and more. As far as tv, I haven't done much, but I've done projects like: Z-Rock, Law & Order, The Tyra Banks Show, Royal Pains. TV is alot most intense, but its cool all the same.

Q: If you could choose only one type of art (tv, movies, modeling, etc) to continue working on, what would you choose?

A: Oh, that's not fair! Hmmm I'd say tv.

Q: Anything you wish to add for my readers and visitors? Something special about you that they probably do not know?

A: I just want them to know that they'll continue to see me out there. I also wanted to say that my nickname "The Original Gata" is just that, a nickname..it means alot to me, but not enough to be fighting people over the term. All my close friends & some of my fans just simply call me Gata..that's why I have the tat of "Gata" on my arm. we are all original and unique in our own way. We are all special. That title "original gata" isn't what sets me apart from others...I AM..

Q: Finally...this is an "Obscure Horror Movie" website. Can you name the last horror movie you watched either at the theatres or on dvd, etc? How about name a favorite horror film that you have seen that most people probably haven't seen?

A: Well, I don't think people would see this as a horror film but the last one I watched was called "Awake" that shit is a horror of mine!!! lol I also watched "3...Extremes." I'm a huge fan of japanese horror. One of my favourite films is called "Odishon" or more recognizable as "Audition" , directed by Takashi Miike.

Q: Thank you very much for doing this.
