Q: Moira, can you explain how you first got into the movie business?
A: I’ve been in plays since I was three years old. Since I can remember I can have wanted to be in film. I studied acting in college and moved to New York City after school and started doing indie films. Then I moved to LA to continue the pursuit.
Q: Would you please explain your acting role in "The Oatmeal Man."
A: I am Lisa in The Oatmeal Man. She is the voice of reason and balances Clive out nicely. Though she is considered the nerd, she is loved by her friends and she loves them.
Q: Knowing how movie reviews may skew the perception of one's product, give us in your own words what you want people to know about the film.
A: Its a fun film that was made with a very low budget.
Q: If there were one part of the filming that was more difficult than you expected, what would that be? Getting a costume to work? Appearing in a certain scene? Certain lines?
A: Well, oatmeal can be difficult to work with because floors tend to get very slippery when covered in oatmeal. And we had one really long day that ended filming outside at midnight ... it was freezing! But other than that it was just fun.
Q: Was there any one day, one moment where you just knew the film would work the way you thought it could?
A: I’m not sure if there was one day or moment. From the start I was really impressed with how Sean led the group. He was very focused and knew exactly what he wanted from each scene. Also the entire cast got along well which makes a difference.
Q: Can you tell me a little bit about other work you have done? Tell us also about “The Ghost and Us.”
A: I’ve done some indie films and shorts. I’ve been lucky to work with some great budding directors and actors and am really looking forward to more projects in the future.
Q: What's next for you? What else does 2010 hold for you?
A: Lots of exciting things!
Q: Is there any movie director or producer you really want to work for one day? Or perhaps any actors or actresses you’d like to star with in a film?
A: Tons, if I listed them all it would take up too much space.
Q: What do you look for when picking projects?
A: A good story and a good character arc.
Q: Finally...this is an "Obscure Horror Movie" website. Can you name the last horror movie you watched either at the theatres or on dvd, etc? How about name a favorite horror film that you have seen that most people probably haven't seen?
A: The last horror film I watched was Jeepers Creepers - I still get creeped out when I think about it. I’m pretty sure your readers will be disappointed with the list of horror movies I’ve actually seen. I get too scared so I have a hard time watching them. I saw The Exorcist when I was 10 and I’m still recovering.
Q: Thank you very much for doing this.
