Summary: A man who once used to be a horror movie director & actor, Ted Radford, is in an insane asylum watching the horror movie that made him famous. It’s his therapy. The problem is…he killed his cast mates making that film. And he ends up killing much of the hospital staff this time. Not knowing these later deaths, a local small movie theatre decided to show a midnight showing of the movie…But you can guarantee Ted will be there to keep his killing streak alive!
Overall: I’ll admit a couple things about the movie. It’s kinda unique in the way the film portrays “real” events followed by the immersion of the film’s events and “real events” such that the killer kills people in the theatre then gets their bodies into his movie reality. It’s a very fluid and squishy process and they did a nice job merging everything. We have some fairly stereotypical actors and yet the film still kept them doing no-to-so stereotypical things at times so the film wasn’t completely transparent and predictable. But…It’s SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO annoying to watch a movie about people watching a movie. We’re watching this movie, which happens to bring the camera close to that movie screen, to watch that movie. It’s annoying and a pain and I wish they could have found a better way to get their point across. So…if you can deal with that, you’ll enjoy the film!
