Megasnake (2007)

Summary: Duff needs to get a new snake for his local church events and finds a special one, but one not for sale. He steals the “Unteka” and runs away and of course ends up accidentally releasing it. This snake is special and loves to eat and grow fast when it eats. Soon it’s bigger than any snake alive and is rampaging through the town. Only Duff’s brother, Les, can figure out how to kill it, if he wasn’t already deathly afraid of snakes!!!           Overall: This was a bad film and the fact they introduce the snake in question with “3 Rules” one of which involves not feeding the snake, I was thinking of “Gremlins” the entire way. A white guy goes into a natives shop to buy a unique animal, takes it without the owner’s knowledge but was warned of the 3 rules. Nope, doesn’t sound familiar at all. Ha! Anyway, after that it’s a “Jaws” wanna-be since the town has a special festival that they make all their money off of due to tourists and even with the snake nearby, no one wants to cancel it. Anyway, nothing special here outside of bad CGI effects. But very, very predictable.           Comparison: Anaconda meets Gremlins
