Maniac Cop 3: Badge of Silence (1993)

Matt Cordell is back one more time - but this time it isn’t of his own doing but instead at the behest of voodoo. Lt. McKinney thought he was done with killer cops but now Matt isn’t just making every cop’s life miserable - he has one goal in mind - get a wife. He interrupts a robbery where Kate, girlfriend of McKinney, has shot some bad guys. She got roughed up during the shootout and while being treated in the hospital, Matt ensures her safety -- he does so by killing everyone who comes into contact with her. But in order to make Kate like himself, he must take her to the voodoo priest who lives under the hospital. But McKinney isn't about to let that happen and the battle between them could destroy the whole city.

Overall: Not a very good film but itself and even worse considering the history of the series. The film doesn’t make it really clear why Matt wants Kate and how he became to want her, etc. Pretty much just an effort to toss another film into the series. Skip it.

Comparison: Flatliners meets Natural Born Killers
